FrieslandCampina Ingredients’ latest GOS innovation, Vivinal® GOS-SL, is a complex solution that contains more than 100 oligosaccharide structures. Some of these structures are present in human milk such as galactosyllactoses 3’-GL, 4’-GL and 6’-GL and sialyllactoses 3’-SL and 6’-SL.
Vivinal® GOS-SL has the same composition as Vivinal® GOS, including 3’-GL, 4’-GL and 6’-GL, but now also contains 3’-SL and 6’-SL from bovine milk origin.
3’-GL, 4’-GL, 6’-GL, 3’-SL and 6’-SL present in Vivinal® GOS-SL have the same structure as the ones in human milk*.
Our unique production process ensures SL enrichment and guarantees consistent SL and GL levels in Vivinal® GOS-SL syrup.
Adding 5% (dm) Vivinal® GOS-SL syrup to an infant formula can provide 25% of the 3’-SL levels and 100% of the GL levels present in mature human milk22,23, while supporting key health benefits for infants – gut health, immunity, brain health – and possibly claim 5HMOs (3’-GL, 4’-GL, 6’-GL, 3’-SL and 6’-SL) on pack and/or on point-of-sales materials*.
